Free Tattoo Removal

Unchained from the Cave is a community organization committed to uplifting and promoting the betterment of others through tattoo removal. Our goal is to provide safe, effective, professional and affordable tattoo removal services accessible to people from all walks of life.
We understand that as we change, tattoos do not and can be a dark reminder of our past. This is why we are opening up applications for free tattoo removal to expand services for those who are in the most need of tattoo removal.
To qualify for free services, the applicant MUST (1) have tattoos in highly visible areas (i.e. face, neck, hands, etc.) and (2) meet one of the following qualifications:
previously incarcerated or currently on probation or parole
former gang member
survivor of domestic abuse*
survivor of human trafficking*
have a hate symbol or racist tattoo
IN ADDITION to meeting the above criteria, the applicant must also provide a recommendation letter from a community advocate that is not a family member or friend (*survivors of domestic abuse or human trafficking may be exempt from this requirement, please contact us for any questions or concerns). Advocates may include probation/parole officers, social worker, re-entry counselors, community program staff members, sponsors, etc. Advocacy letter must include the contact information of your supporter including email and direct phone number.
Interested applicants may fill out an application (below) no later than August 15th, 2021. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Not all who apply will be chosen and applicants chosen will be based on the greatest need for tattoo removal services.
If you are chosen for free services, a member of our board will contact you by September 5th, 2021.
